Audacity, authenticity, respect, humor and sharing. For Louis Duc there are never problems, only solutions. He’s a real self-made sailor who has made a virtue of doing a lot with a  little through hard work and talent. Cruising with his parents before he could walk then racing dinghy regattas and then graduating to keelboats as a teenager, he has strengthened his bond with the ocean. He says he has always preferred boatyards to school benches. He learns to work in composites mostly on racing boats. In 2002 the young Norman skipper repaired a wrecked Pogo1 and qualified for the Mini Transat. In 2008, he won a brilliant 4th place in Class40 on The Transat 2008, his first solo Atlantic crossing... Bold, curious and thoughtful Louis Duc says he cannot imagine his life as an offshore racer without technological and strategic challenges. Offshore he is at one with a world that he masters perfectly and that he loves to discover. On land he has become an entrepreneur with bold ideas and  and a strong team spirit. He is notably behind the design of the Lift40, an innovative Class40 that won the 2018 Route du Rhum.
