Ocean racing is part of Sodebo's history and these are high points for the company, which is based in Vendée and will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2023.
Twenty years ago, we entered the legendary Vendée Globe race as a shipowner alongside Thomas Coville. Then in 2004, we went on to become an official sponsor of the race. Each edition is unique and illustrates the incredible evolution of the world of ocean racing, which has never stopped progressing. You only have to look at the evolution of the boats to understand that we have moved into a new era with each edition, but there is room for everyone. What is common are the stories of these men and women who commit themselves to an adventure that will inevitably change them.
Loyalty is an essential value in our company. We are attached to the idea of thinking long-term, giving people a chance and building gradually. How could we not want to continue this incredible adventure which highlights exceptional and inspiring men and women? It is no coincidence that the Vendée Globe is one of the three most popular sporting events in France. It is obviously an asset for developing our reputation but also a great image for the Vendée Département.
We are proud to enrich this partnership by also associating ourselves with the qualifying races that are the Vendée Arctique and the New York Vendée.
