Beyou through too

Jérémie Beyou, the solo skipper of Charal passed through the Iceland gate this Friday morning at 6h 04 min HF. He completed the first part of the course in 4 days, 13 hours and 4 minutes, 3 hours 43 minutes and 34 seconds after the leader, Charlie Dalin. Jérémie Beyou had said he "was always pushing hard and did not let go of anything from the start". Like Dalin on APIVIA, Beyou had opted for the West option before falling slightly behind his main rival but coming back as he got into stronger pressure

In accordance with the decisions that were taken on Thursday evening, the race is therefore put on hold awaiting the passage of a depression. Beyou can now take shelter before resuming his race. The sailors start again according to their time at the gate, this stop will not affect the final classification in Les Sables d'Olonne: whoever crosses the line will therefore be declared the winner.
